NTU reaches into every elementary, middle, secondary and special schools via its Building Reps, a vital link between the Union and its members.

NTU headquarters is located in downtown Newark, NJ across from historic Symphony Hall. The NTU is easily accessible from all Newark schools and is conveniently located to Liberty International Airport, Penn Station, Garden State Parkway and the NJ Turnpike. The first floor of NTU headquarters serves as the main hall for meetings for Building Reps, Executive Board members, community groups and Professional Development workshops for teachers and paraprofessionals. The NTU-AFT Labor History display and timeline are also housed on the first floor.

On the second floor, you will find the Research and Communication, Technology and Special Projects and Retiree departments. The mailing and reproduction center are also located on the second floor.
