Sample Activities:

 

·       Climatic conditions have changed in the twenty-first century. Research scientists are looking at the oceans to create habitable communities. Create an underwater community.

 

·       Current transportation systems consume natural resources and add to pollution and congestion.

 

·       Comparison of Three Types of Milk in a Recipe

 

·       Discuss the importance of washing hands related to preparation of foods.  Discuss examples of food borne illnesses.  Write an essay on the statement "If in doubt, throw it out."

 

·       For any class using tools that could possible cause injury to self, the teacher should demonstrate the correct use.  Have students practice safe use.  Before students work independently with the tools/equipment, students should take safety test and pass with a 100% score.
