Students will report their findings on the most economical way to shop (including using coupons). All costs will be itemized on a purchase sheet using a computer spreadsheet.

·        Students will go on a field trip to a local mall (shopping area). At the mall, students will have a check off list containing 10 different items relating to comparison shopping. They must locate these items at three different stores. On their sheet, they will record the prices, sales help available, warranty information, return policy, and methods of payments that may be used to purchase the products.

·        Students will work with the school store and compare vendors and products to be sold to both students and faculty. Students will compare prices, delivery or pickup information, turnaround time, and discounts available to not-for-profit organizations. There will be presentations made by possible vendors. Determine what the best products are to sell and basis for the decision.

·        Students will do comparative shopping for houses/living residences/apartments depending on certain scenarios. Students can use local realtors, newspapers, and websites.
