What events do you need to save money for in the future? What is the estimated amount of money that will be needed? Based on your current income and spending patterns over the last few weeks, develop a proposed budget to save for the proposed event.
· Be a bargain hunter. Decide on an item from the sporting good section of a store. Describe the item in writing. Find the same or similar item in at least two stores, a catalogue, newspaper advertisement, and another source, such as Ebay. Which source would you purchase the item and why?
· What is saving? Why is saving money important? If at the age of five, your parents put one thousand dollars into a savings account for your future education, how much money would be there when you graduate from high school? How would the amount change if the amount were dropped to $500 per year or raised to $1500 per year? How could your saving money add to the total available?
