·       See activities found at http://www.ncee.net/resources/lessons.php.

·       As a student in elementary school, make a list of wants and needs for 3 months, 1 year, or 3 years from now.  The class discusses what is a want and a need.  Discuss how wants and needs may change over time.  This may be done by grouping students in twos.  Students compare the wants and needs and reasons for differences.  Share information with the class.  You may want to call for volunteers. What are resources?  What resources would be necessary to obtain needs and/or wants in three months?  One year?
