Students should be directed to the Office Depot web site – Free Downloadable Business Forms – Employee Management – information regarding suggested content and templates.

·       Students will review their school’s code of conduct and dress code to evaluate the effectiveness of disciplinary action resulting from an infraction. Students will work in groups and present their findings and suggestions to improve the current codes and/or action taken as a result of an infraction.

·       Students will complete the Translating Complaints and Criticisms into Requests Challenge Four. There are three exercises that give students the opportunity to look at ways to handle conflict, look at recent conflicts and reflect upon how it could have been handled differently if the appropriate steps had been taken. This activity can be found at www.newconversations.net.

·       Ask a human resources manager to speak to the class regarding his/her job. The speaker should primarily focus on the use of interpersonal skills and how they affect the handling of conflict in the workplace.
