Sample Activities:

 

·       An individual wants to select a career pathway….in an area of interest for future employment and postsecondary and lifelong learning.

 

·       Discuss what is lifelong learning.  Conduct research to determine how often people change jobs.  As person changes jobs, is there a need to change or improve skills?  Explain your answer.  Talk to several adults about your jobs and why they have changed positions.  Share findings with the class.  What methods are available to improve skills without taking off from work? 

 

·       Research websites to find out about entrepreneurship.  What are the characteristics of entrepreneurs?  Why do people start up entrepreneur activitites?  Find several examples of entrepreneurs at sites like Youngbiz or Entrepreneur Career Guide, and write a summery about the person's experiences.
