We now live in an increasing complex "global society" with demands for increased invention, design, and manufacturing to make people's lives and work more productive while meeting personal and family needs.

·    The behavior of sports stars and movie personalities has been called into question. Develop a system for identifying and promoting positive role models in the community.

·    Current transportation systems consume natural resources and add to pollution and congestion.

·       Accessible Public Transportation

·       I’ve Got a Problem-Conflict in the Workplace

·    Research community based organizations such as the American Red Cross, Lions Club, and Rotary. Discuss mission statement of the organization and relate it to the work being done in the local community. Arrange for guest speakers, interview organization members, and explore the organizational structure, management, and outreach methods of the organization. Resources: www.lionsclubs.org; www.rotary.org; www.redcross.org; www.nationalservice.org.

·    Students will create and design a flyer, for distribution to the community to publicize their community service project. Students will research and use previously learned information regarding community outreach for this project. The flyer will detail their chosen project including it’s goal, process, and end result. They will consider the importance of creating a flyer that will appeal to and be read by members of the community.
