Sample Activities:

 

·        An individual wants to select a career pathway….in an area of interest for future employment and postsecondary and lifelong learning.

 

·        Climatic conditions have changed in the twenty-first century. Research scientists are looking at the oceans to create habitable communities.

 

·        Analyze the effects of technology (microwaves, computers, DVD players etc.) on family life.

 

·        Invite a representative of a sewing machine company to demonstrate the use of a serger and embroidery sewing machines to the class. Have students make and easy project using both machines. Invite a representative from a manufacturer of another technological product to demonstrate the item to the class. Students discuss how the product has changed the lives of people over time. This could be an oral or written project. Some resources include:
