Sample Activities:

·       The town has decided to build a new school. Prepare a presentation to convince the local board of education.

·       Although New Jersey is well known as the Garden State, it certainly could be recognized as the Invention State. We now live in an increasing complex "global society" with demands for increased invention, design, and manufacturing to make people's lives and work more productive while meeting personal and family needs.

·       Earth is becoming uninhabitable.

·       Rockets: Design an Aqua Rocket using a 2 liter soda bottle as a fuel cell. The rocket that reaches the highest altitude using an attitude finder wins the extra credit. Use Pitsco.com or other vendor to explore this activity and order supplies that may be necessary.

·       Guided Wire Vehicle: Design a vehicle to carry an egg that will travel the length of a sloped guide wire in the shortest time and hit a wall without breaking the egg. There needs to be variety of materials and an electronic timer. Before getting the materials, the team must produce several alternative solutions and select one as a final solution to build. Slope needs to be about 30 degrees over a 20 feet long distance.

·       Aeronautics

·       Structures

·       Electronic Toys

·       Engineering Motion
