Cumulative Progress Indicator: 6 - The student will identify new technologies and other organizational tools to use in personal, home, and/or work environments for information retrieval, entry, and presentation.

 

Grade: 12

 

Sample Activities:

 

·      A school wide unity day to celebrate diversity is being planned by the school. As part of the celebration, a mini-Olympics will be held. A plan needs to be developed and implemented to include opening exercises, main events, and closing ceremonies. A small budget has been allocated but will need to be supplemented.

 

·      A public relations firm has been hired to develop and produce a documentary alerting young adults to the need for fiscal responsibility when using credit cards. As an employee, you have been asked to develop a five-minute demo for the client.

 

·      The behavior of sports stars and movie personalities has been called into question. Develop a system for identifying and promoting positive role models in the community.

 

·      Interview ten people employed in various occupations about technology used at the worksite and in communications with employees.  Explain the advantages and disadvantages of use of the technologies.  Investigate what training is given related to employees using the technologies.
