·       Students will role-play the following scenario: As an April Fool’s prank, a student hacks into the school district’s network, setting all of the printers in the media center to print out every five minutes a large-print document saying “April Fool’s.” The student has brought paper to school to replace the paper that was wasted as a result of his/her prank. Students will work cooperatively to determine how to portray the disciplinary meeting of the hacker, the principal, the vice-principal, the network administrator, and the hacker’s parents. After the dramatization, the entire class will discuss the pros and cons of the dramatized resolution of the incident.

·       Students will demonstrate a thorough understanding of copyright law and fair use guidelines as they apply to the creation of a multimedia presentation by using a teacher rubric to peer critique one another’s multimedia projects.  This is best done early in the year with the introduction of the Acceptable Use Policy.
