Cumulative Progress Indicator: 8 -  The student will discuss and/or demonstrate the capability of emerging technologies and software in the creation of documents or files.

 

Grade: 12

 

Sample Activities:

 

·       A public relations firm has been hired to develop and produce a documentary alerting young adults to the need for fiscal responsibility when using credit cards. As an employee, you have been asked to develop a five-minute demo for the client.

 

·       Each student chooses a different form of new technology to research and demonstrate the use in school and potential business application.  Examples might include PDA, white board storage devices for taking the show on the road, tablets, digital cameras and video equipment, projection devices, black berries, and cell phones, etc. 

 

·       Research two or three products (software) and compare ease of use, cost, etc.  Students may need special privileges to use software samples.  Report to the class on why one product may be a better choice than another.
