Sample Activities:
· Define
appropriate technology words using Dictionary.com. Words such as Internet,
intranet, email, acceptable use policy, software, hardware, copyright,
directory, multiple windows open, file formats, electronic mail,
telecommunications, database, query, field, record, blog, Ipod, and netiquette.
Include words needed to be able to use various computer applications. Teachers
of all areas are encouraged to include information technology terms in lessons
integrating computers/technology with their content lesson. · Students will be evaluated on their knowledge of technological words by creating their own BINGO board and playing the game in class with a group of students. Bingo boards can be created by using the chart feature in a word processing program.
· Students will write a letter explaining to someone in their lives about computers using as many of their vocabulary words as they can.
