Cumulative Progress Indicator: 2 -  The student will identify, describe, compare, and classify polygons and circles.

·        Triangles by angles and sides

·        Quadrilaterals, including squares, rectangles, parallelograms, trapezoids, rhombi

·        Polygons by number of sides.

·        Equilateral, equiangular, regular

·        All points equidistant from a given point form a circle

 

Grade: 6

 

Sample Activities:

 

·        Students use computer programs like The Geometry PreSupposer to explore the relationships of sides of polygons or properties of quadrilaterals.
