Cumulative Progress Indicator: 5 -  The student will design and perform smooth flowing sequences with intentional changes in direction, flow, and speed (e.g., martial arts, line dance, roller blading, swimming).

 

Grade: 12

 

Sample Activities:

 

·       BENCH OR STEP AEROBICS - Begin the class with a simple warm-up. Include slow locomotor movements and static stretching (about two or three songs of slow rhythm). Begin the aerobic portion with easy, simple movements, and then progress to a more intense workout. The aerobic part of the workout should last about 20 to 40 minutes. Students cool down using slow locomotor and non-locomotor movements as well as static stretching. Students monitor their heart rate during the aerobic and cool down phases.
