Sample Activities:

 

·        SOCIAL DANCING - Students learn social dances, such as the “Chicken Dance,” the “Locomotion,” the “Four Kick Continental,” or more traditional styles such as the “Patty Cake Polka.” Be sure to include kid-favorite dance styles, such as hip-hop, in your dance program. High school students can demonstrate some of the newer forms of popular dancing. Students plan a party to showcase the dances they learned, developing a party theme, creating invitations and decorations, and serving nutritious snacks.
