SAFE AND UNSAFE TOUCHES - Begin this
lesson with a review of the ways children take care of their bodies (e.g., food,
rest, exercise). Ask students: “Who owns your arms and legs? your body?”
(Students should answer “We do.”) Explain that everyone has the right to say no
if someone touches them in a way that makes them feel hurt, uncomfortable,
afraid, or confused. Define safe and write SAFE and UNSAFE on the board.
Brainstorm activities for each column similar to the example below.
