SAFE USE OF MEDICINE - Students create puppet shows
demonstrating the proper use of medications. Divide the class into small groups,
and assign each group a situation. After allowing time for practice, each group
presents their puppet show. Allow time for comments and discussion after each
show, reinforcing medication safety rules. After class discussion, students
return to their original groups to create a poster illustrating the safe
administration of medicines. Each group writes a slogan or poem to accompany the
poster. Ideas for the scenarios might include the following:
