Sample Activities:
A Day at the Beach - Using a computer graphics program,
students should select 3 - 5 electronic images that relate to the beach and/or
ocean.

Review the principles of design - balance, emphasis, and rhythm/movement.

Remind students of the basic ways to manipulate images (e.g. copy, paste,
scale, flip, change, rotate)

Students demonstrate their understanding of the principles of design by
maneuvering the selected images to create a composition.
