Cumulative Progress Indicator: 2 - The student will articulate understanding of choreographic structures or forms such as palindrome, theme and variation, rondo, retrograde, inversion, narrative, and accumulation.

Sample Activities:

 

Multimedia Dance - Design, rehearse, and perform a multimedia production for a live audience or videotape, using concepts such as mass, volume, line, plane, texture, and color.
·      Construct any necessary costumes, sets, and props.
·      Use technologies (film, video, lighting effects, computer¬ generated imagery, interactive technology) to alter the movement and materials.
·      Reflect and discuss how the technology affects the meaning and interpretation of the original work.

 

Essential Questions:
·      Which concepts are the easiest to convey in dance?
·      Which famous choreographers often used technology as a source of entry into a dance work?
 

Reflective Practice:
·      When does technology interfere with a dance work?
