Sample Activities:

 

A Day at the Beach - Ask students to consider what lies beyond the shoreline under the sea.

      ·        Using the Internet, students research creatures that exist in the ocean.
·        Using the examples found, students combine and adapt the results of their research to design creatures that reflect an imaginative use of the elements and principles.
·        Students select media to create a two or three dimensional model of their sea creature.

 

Essential Questions:
·        As an artist, what guides your decisions most (e.g. elements, principles, theme, narration, and mood)?

 

Reflective Practice:
·        Looking at the completed artwork, is there anything you would change? Why?
·        What satisfies you the most about your completed artwork? Why?
