Welcome to the New Jersey Standards Clarification Search Engine. This resource was developed by the Newark Teachers Union (NTU) and the Newark Public Schools to integrate New Jersey Department of Education resources related to:

Click on the tool bars on the left to navigate around this "search engine". To better understand and access the resources contained in this search engine, click on the "User’s Guide” navigational tool bar on the left hand side of this "Home" page. Many of this “User’s Guide’s” sections are hyperlinked to resources in the search engine and the “User’s Guide” can be printed out as a stand alone publication. In addition, use your mouse to click on any of the navigational links along the left side tool bar, such as "Standards Clarification," "Assessment," "2004-2005 CPIs", "New Resources" or "Search Engine" to find specific resources you may need to reference.

Ø  Note - In the 2009-10 school year, the NJDOE developed and began implementing new Core Curriculum Standards for Pre K to 12^th grade. This Tiered Intervention Search Engine will integrate these new standards when fully developed, adopted and implemented. However, districts are being given until the 2011 - 2012 school year to develop and align curriculum to these standards. In addition, the NJDOE will continue to use previous standards (CPIs and resources in the standards clarifications project) on state assessments for grades 3 to 8.  Consequently, the CPIs cited above reflect the 2004 standards.
